Gamescom 2016’s award winners have been announced and it appears that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has taken home the gold!
The game won both “Best of Gamescom” and “Best Wii U Game” awards, its playable demo apparently making quite the impression on judges.
Another Nintendo title walked away with recognition from the convention, with Mario Party Star Rush receiving the “Best Mobile Game” award.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled for release on both Wii U and NX in March 2017.
