Upon the heels of the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s full title, Nintendo has started showing off the gameplay live at E3. And one of the first things of note is Link’s newfound inventory system.

The Treehouse demo showed off how Link can find and equip armor, which gives him a boost to defensive stats – a first for the series. Link can also pick up a variety of weapons which similarly affect his offensive capabilities. These RPG like elements are new editions to the series, as there was a mention of crafting systems as well. Though the GB Zelda titles has somewhat flexible inventories, this is the first title with a truly RPG like system.

Stay tuned to Nintendo Inquirer for more E3 updates!
