UPDATE: Almost immediately after this article was originally posted, Nintendo U.K. revealed in a tweet that the next Zelda will be launching simultaneously on Wii U and NX, while also providing us with a brand new piece of art in the process:


Even more information is being uncovered in the new financial reports revealed by Nintendo earlier today, and not all of it is good.

Unfortunately, it looks like the next console entry in the main Zelda franchise has been delayed yet again, this time into 2017, as clearly labeled in the list of first party products Nintendo is aiming to publish within this new fiscal year.


With the recent announcement of the NX launching in March 2017, this will likely only increase rumors that the game has been delayed to release on the new system.
