WayForward’s hair-whipping hero is back in action! The second installment in the popular Shantae platforming series has at last arrived on the Wii U eShop.
First released in North America as a DSiWare title in 2010, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge received a
warm reception from critics and fans alike.
In 2014, a “Director’s Cut” was then made available for Windows users, followed by a PlayStation 4 version the next year.
The version released today for Wii U includes all of the Director’s Cut features available for PC and PlayStation 4 gamers, including HD portrait artwork, a new “Magic Mode” and a re-imagined warp system.
The game joins its sequel, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, in the Nintendo eShop, downloadable for both Wii U and 3DS.
Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut is available for purchase today for Wii U players worldwide, with a retail price of $9.99.
