North American NES fans rejoice, three classic games are heading to the Wii U Virtual Console!

Appearing on Nintendo’s official game database ahead of release, the three titles are Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos, Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, and finally Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones.

NinjaGaiden

Ninja Gaiden II and III follow on with the adventures of Ryu Hayabusa, and they retain the notorious difficulty of their predecessor but add new weapons and bosses to shake things up.

DoubleDragonIII

Meanwhile, Double Dragon III catches up with Billy and Jimmy Lee, who are not only searching for the kidnapped Marion yet again but are also hunting down the titular Sacred Stones. The franchise’s iconic co-op gameplay naturally makes a return, and is fully supported on the Wii U.

Each of these games will be priced at $4.99 and will be available tomorrow, February 18th. Will you be picking up any of these classic titles? Let us know in the comments!
