The Age of Calamity is upon us, and thanks to some timely restocks you might be heading into Hyrule Warriors with some amiibo at the ready. Much like the first Zelda Musou, amiibo can give you a little extra if you remember to tap them in each day you play. Here’s everything amiibo do in the Nintendo Switch’s Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
How to use amiibo in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
On the main menu, you’ll find an option for amiibo. Select this and you’ll be able to scan up to five amiibo per day. Besides the normal Legend of Zelda amiibo like Link, Zelda, and the four Champions, you can also scan amiibo from other series, too. So if you recently picked up an Animal Crossing amiibo card pack, you have everything you need!
What do amiibo do in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity?
Each amiibo scanned will provide you with materials. These can potentially go towards fusing and crafting weapons or the new (for Hyrule Warriors) cooking feature.
Do I need specific amiibo for rewards in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity?
In the original Hyrule Warriors, you could unlock Link’s Spinner weapon via amiibo. At this time, we don’t believe there are any unique unlocks of that nature in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
