As of its Early Access debut on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, there are 21 characters currently available to befriend and interact with in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In no particular order, they are Merlin, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, Moana, Maui, Remy, WALL-E, Mother Gothel, Scar, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Stitch. More characters are planned for future updates and when the game launches as free-to-play in 2023.

Thanks to content roadmap posts, we know that Vanellope von Schweetz will be part of the Summer Update and Belle will be included in the September update. More characters are also expected in late 2023.

To add these characters, you’ll either get them automatically or need to complete certain requirements:

Vanellope von Schweetz

Located: Next to the fountain in the Dream Castle (costs 4,000 Star Coins to build her house)

Unlock requirements: Vanellope von Schweetz is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of Wednesday, July 19th, 2023. You’ll need to update Disney Dreamlight Valley to Version 1.6.0 (or the most current version). Once updated and entering Dreamlight Valley, a new Friendship Quest will be available (called “The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley”). This quest starts when you talk to Uncle Scrooge. (If you don’t have a quest tracked, it will automatically pop up as a tracked quest when logging into the game after installing the update.)

The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley

  • Talk to Uncle Scrooge. He’ll mention he saw an apparition flickering in and out at the Dream Castle.
  • Enter Dream Castle and climb the staircases to the top level. Near the fountain, you’ll find Vanellope von Schweetz flickering in and out of existence.
  • Talk to Vanellope von Schweetz. Upon ending the conversation, the quest will end and a new quest (“Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust”) will start.

Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust will require the use of the new DreamSnaps feature. This feature will require you to take a photo that meets a specific challenge theme and upload it to Disney Dreamlight Valley’s in-game photo sharing/competition portal.

Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust

  • Take an in-game photo (using the camera in the tool wheel) that meets Vanellope’s DreamSnaps Challenge.
    • You’ll need to decorate an area in your Valley with furniture that uses the required challenge tags (Playful, Familiar). Snap a photo with your phone and submit it to DreamSnaps.
      • Mandatory: 5 Playful items and 5 Familiar items. Suggested: Modern and Wreck-It Ralph.
      • You can create this setup anywhere in the Valley, including in your home.
  • Once arranged, take a photo with the camera (in the tool wheel). In the bottom left-hand corner, the option to Show DreamSnaps (ZR button) is available. When selected, it shows if you met the criteria of the challenge as well as gives you the option to submit the photo to DreamSnaps (X button).
    • Your photo might be denied if it contains any Touch of Magic items (clothing and/or furniture). Remove these (even if they aren’t visible) in order to retake the photo and submit it to DreamSnaps.
  • Upon successfully submitting the photo, you’ll be rewarded with 50 Pixel Dust. DreamSnap Challenge rewards, going forward, will be issued via the mailbox outside your home.
  • Return to Vanellope in the Dream Castle and have a chat. She’ll task you with placing a home in Dreamlight Valley.
  • Find a spot for Vanellope’s home. Once secured, you’ll want to interact with the Uncle Scrooge construction sign.
  • Uncle Scrooge will require 4,000 Star Coins to complete Vanellope’s abode.
  • Once complete, you’ll get Vanellope’s welcome scene. After taking any photos, chat with her outside of the plaza’s well. This will conclude the quest.

The Fairy Godmother

Located: Pumpkin House in the Forgotten Lands (costs 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock the area)

Unlock requirements: Fairy Godmother is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of June 7th, 2023. You’ll need to update Disney Dreamlight Valley to Version 1.5.0 (or the most current version). Once updated, upon launching the game, you’ll be treated to a cutscene of the Pumpkin House in the Forgotten Lands. Head on over to the area (you’ll need to unlock the Sunlit Platue and Forgotten Lands with Dreamlight), enter the Pumpkin House, and talk with The Fairy Godmother.

Technically, she’ll be unlocked at this point, but won’t be checked off in your Collection -> Characters section. To do so, you’ll have to complete the Miracles Take Time quest.

Simba

Located: The Lion King realm in the Dream Castle (costs 10,000 Dreamlight to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Simba is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of April 5th, 2023. You’ll need to update Disney Dreamlight Valley to Version 1.4.0 (or the most current version). Once updated, complete the “Eyes in the Dark” quest (detailed in Nala’s section). Once completed, you’ll unlock the “Stars to Guide Us” quest. Complete this quest by:

  • Return to The Lion King realm and talk to Simba. Follow him into a deeper part of the jungle and talk to him again. When the conversation ends, return to Dreamlight Valley and talk to Merlin.
  • After talking to Merlin, you’ll have to craft a magically infused Rafiki’s Walking Stick (5 Softwood, 5 Fibers, and 2 Purified Night Shards). Once crafted at a crafting station, return to The Lion King realm and talk to Simba.
  • Finishing the conversation, interact with the stone mound (that Simba is blocking) and place Rafiki’s Walking Stick in it. Talk to Simba afterwards and you’ll trigger a cut scene and another convo.
  • Then, follow Simba to the dried-out oasis and talk to him again. You’re going to restore the dried-out oasis and will need to gather 3 Jungle Fern Seeds, 3 Waterfall Plant Seeds, and 3 Clearing Tree Seeds. Look for glowing/sparkling plants in the entire jungle area and dig up those plants with your shovel.
  • With all seeds collected, return to Simba and talk to him. He’ll ask you to plant the seeds around the oasis, so dig some spots with your shovel and get to work. After planting all 9 seeds, talk to Simba.
  • Break the rock with your pick axe (near the glowing exit/entrance point) and you’ll trigger a cutscene. Talk to Simba again and this time you can invite him to Dreamlight Valley.
  • Return back to the valley and exit the Dream Castle. You’ll then trigger Simba’s welcoming cutscene.
  • Talk to Simba afterwards and the quest will end.

Nala

Located: The Lion King realm in the Dream Castle (costs 10,000 Dreamlight to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Nala is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of April 5th, 2023. You’ll need to update Disney Dreamlight Valley to Version 1.4.0 (or the most current version). Once updated, head to the Dream Castle. Inside, on the second level (center) to the left of the Frozen realm door will be the door to The Lion King realm. To remove the night thorns surrounding it, you’ll need to spend 10,000 Dreamlight. Upon opening the door, you’ll get the “Eyes in the Dark” quest. Complete this quest by:

  • Enter the realm and you’ll be transported to the area that Nala is in. Go and talk to Nala – she’ll explain to you that Simba and she became separated.
  • Caught up to speed, the two of you have come up with a plan to scare off the hyenas trailing Nala. You’ll need to use your shovel to dig up the 5 dried up thorns in the area (they look like smaller night thorns that are brown/gray), collect the seeds from each, plant the seeds in the holes (nearby where Nala ran off to in the cutscene), and water the thorn plans with your watering can.
  • A cutscene will trigger and Nala will make it back to you, effectively trapping the unseen hyenas. Now you can use your shovel to dig up dried stumps blocking the cave entrance. Go through the cave and you’ll enter the jungle.
  • Talk to Nala. You’re tasked with exploring the jungle, but you’ll need to make a new path near the waterfall. Cross the river to the rock structure that’s holding up a log (it’s next to a rock with glowing grub critters). Use your pick axe to break part of the rocks, thus lowering the log (and now acting as a bridge). Cross the bridge into another part of the jungle area.
  • There, you’ll find Simba. Go talk to him. After your talk, he’ll run back to Nala. Go and read their conversation and then talk to Simba. He wants your help in cooking up some grubs for Nala.
  • You’ll have to head back to the original area (now called the dried-out oasis) and dig up 6 colorful bugs (look for sparkling patches of dirt) as well as fish 3 slimy bugs out of the river in the jungle area (look for orange ripples and bubbles).
  • After collecting these bugs, Simba will ask for more – red bugs that are located in the area where you initially found Simba. Dig up a stump in that area with your shovel, unequip it, and then chase around the scattering red bugs (hitting the A-button to grab ’em).
  • Once everything is collected, head back to Simba and Nala. Across from them is a stove where you can cook three Bug Platters. You’ll know this recipe automatically and can find it in the recipe list at the stove. After cooking all three helpings, dole out the first one to Nala. After her review of the dish, the hyenas are back.
  • You’ll have to return to Dreamlight Valley and talk to Uncles Scrooge for help on this one. His help comes in the form of a broken sound system that you’ll need to repair (with 10 Softwood, 5 Hardwood, and 2 Iron Ingots). After repairing it at a craft station, head back to The Lion King realm.
  • Talk to Nala and you’ll get the sound system set up. A short cutscene will happen and the hyenas have been scared off. Talk to Nala again and you’ll invite her to Dreamlight Valley, but she and Simba will need a place to stay.
  • It’s time to build Pride Rock in Dreamlight Valley. Return to Dreamlight Valley and exit the Dream Castle. Open up the Item Menu, select the Furniture tab, select the Nala icon, and then select Pride Rock. Place it where you can fit it in Dreamlight Valley. Then, head to the construction sign where Uncle Scrooge will appear and ask for 15,000 Star Coins. Pay the fee, Pride Rock will be built, and Nala will appear.
  • Talk to Nala to complete the quest.

Mirabel Madrigal

Located: Golden Doorknob (found in the Peaceful Meadow)

Unlock requirements: Mirabel Madrigal is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of February 16th, 2023. To add her to your valley, you’ll need to head to the Peaceful Meadow and find a shining door knob. Once picked up, you’ll start “The Golden Doorknob” quest.

  • Talk to Merlin and discuss this Golden Doorknob that you’ve just found. He’ll inspect it and tell you about Mirabel, Mini-Casita, and how to bring both back to the valley.
  • To show Mini-Casita that it’s safe to return (along with Mirabel), you’ll need to take pictures with 3 different Villagers, give 2 different Villagers their favorite gifts (one of the daily three gifts), and have daily discussions with 2 different Villagers. Once completed, return to Merlin.
  • Merlin will check the Golden Doorknob and note that it still requires a bit more Dreamlight. You’ll be tasked to have at least 500 Dreamlight. If you already have an excess of 500 Dreamlight, you’ll automatically skip to the next step.
  • Once you have 500 Dreamlight, return to Merlin. He’ll tell you that you’re now able to bring Mini-Casita back. You’ll have to press the X-button when you’re outside in Dreamlight Valley to get the Inventory screen to pop up, followed by selecting the Furniture menu. Mini-Casita will be in the Request section (look for the Merlin icon). Place Mini-Casita in your valley… wherever you can fit it. This house is BIG.
  • After placing Mini-Casita and exiting out of the Furniture menu/selection, you’ll activate the “Welcome Mirabel!” cutscene. Mirabel is now back!
  • Talk to Mirabel to finish “The Golden Doorknob” quest.

Olaf

Located: Frosted Heights

Unlock requirements: Olaf is available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as of February 16th, 2023. With the update installed and the Frosted Heights biome unlocked, “The Great Blizzard” quest automatically unlocks.

  • Talk with Merlin about the magical blizzard (shown in the cutscene) and you’ll be tasked with restoring Frosted Heights’ Pillar of Love.
  • In your search for what’s behind this blizzard, you’ll find a secret chamber along the wall of the cliff behind the Pillar of Love (near the river).
  • Inside, it’s a secret chamber and Olaf is there, but he’s missing his arms, buttons, and nose. After some plot explaining, it’s time to track down his missing parts. Chase down and catch the four squirrels (trailing Dark Magic) in the Frosted Heights and return to Olaf.
  • He’s still missing his arms and we’ll need to chat with Elsa in order to get them back. You’ll head back to the Pillar of Love and need to water a patch of sparkling snow with your watering can. After triggering a cutscene, it’s back to talking to Elsa.
  • After having a small chat, you’ll be sent back to the secret chamber to talk to Olaf, watering more patches of sparkling snow, and then collect various books. You’re specifically looking for a cream-tan-colored book titled “So You Want to Open a Dark Portal” (please read the flavor text – it’s funny).
  • Read the book with Olaf and you’ll find out you need a Dreamlight Prism (which calls for Glass, Purified Night Shards, and Shattered Prism – which there are pieces of in the secret chamber). With all the necessary components, craft the Dreamlight Prism at a crafting station and place it on the Prism Pedestal in the secret chamber.
  • Next, you’ll need an orange, green, and purple gemstone (Citrine, Emerald, and Amethyst). Place the Amethyst across from the Garnet, the Citrine across from the Aquamarine, and the Emerald across from the Topaz. Once all are placed, a cutscene will trigger. Then, interact with the portal.
  • Another cutscene will occur, this time you’ll have the Orb and Olaf’s arms. The Orb may be broken, but at least Olaf has his arms now. Then, thanks to another cutscene, the Orb is now magically fixed and can be placed into the Pillar of Love. Once it’s back in its rightful spot, the magical blizzard stops. Go back and talk to Olaf, completing the quest and he’ll be befriended and level up to Friend Level 2.

Woody

Located: Toy Story realm in the Dream Castle (costs 7,000 Dreamlight to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Woody was added on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 as part of the Missions in Uncharted Space update. Complete Buzz’s “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space” quest (see the Buzz Lightyear section) and head back to the Toy Story realm (2nd level, to the right of the Frozen realm door). With Buzz’s “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space” quest completed, you’ll unlock Woody’s quest, “You’re My Favorite Deputy”. Progress through that quest and you’ll be tasked at one point to add Woody’s Carousel (his home) to Dreamlight Valley. Place it anywhere in the valley and pay Uncle Scrooge’s construction fees to the tune of 10,000 Star Coins. Once paid, Woody will appear in Dreamlight Valley and you can conclude the “You’re My Favorite Deputy” quest by talking to him.

Buzz Lightyear

Located: Toy Story realm in the Dream Castle (costs 7,000 Dreamlight to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Buzz Lightyear was added on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 as part of the Missions in Uncharted Space update. After unlocking the Toy Story realm door (2nd level, to the right of the Frozen realm door), you’ll get a quest titled “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space”. At one point during the quest, Buzz Lightyear will come to Dreamlight Valley on a reconnaissance mission. In order for him to do so, you’ll need to place Buzz’s RV (his home) somewhere in the valley and pay 10,000 Star Coins thanks to Uncle Scrooge’s construction fees. Once paid in full, Buzz will return to Dreamlight Valley and talking with him will conclude the “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space” quest.

Stitch (Experiment 626)

Located: Dazzle Beach’s Skull Rock (Must unlock via multiple quests. The first quest activates when finding a key item on Dazzle Beach)

Unlock requirements: Stitch was added on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 as part of the Missions in Uncharted Space update. His arrival is tied to multiple quests: “The Mystery of the Stolen Socks”, “The Sock-Stealing Space Alien Strikes Again!”, and “Built to Destroy!”

  • The Mystery of the Stolen Socks: Find the Slimy Stocking (located anywhere on Drizzle Beach – look for a sparkling item). You’ll get a quest discovery overlay on-screen and will see this quest added to your list of Friendship Quests. Take this stocking to Donald and talk to him. The quest will be completed. Wait about 5 in-game days.
  • The Sock-Stealing Space Alien Strikes Again!: Another sock has finally appeared, this time in the Peaceful Meadow. After picking up the Chewed-Up Sock, you’ll get a quest discovery overlay on-screen and will see this quest added to your list of Friendship Quests. Take this stocking to Goofy and talk to him and follow additional steps to complete this quest (ultimately discussing your findings with Donald and adding another sample to the Strange Device). Wait about 5 in-game days.
  • Built to Destroy!: A third sock has appeared and you’ll find it in the Forest of Valor. After picking up the Knitted Orange Sock, you’ll get a quest discovery overlay on-screen and will see this quest added to your list of Friendship Quests. Chat with Mickey and Kristoff about your discovery, followed by taking the sock to Merlin. After handing it over, Merlin will mention that his library has been disturbed. Go inside his house and clean up the mess, and you’ll find a Mysterious Claw. Give the claw to Donald and the Strange Device will be at 100%. It’ll now function as a homing beacon. Place the homing beacon in front of Skull Rock (in Dazzle Beach) and a cutscene will trigger. Stitch will crash his ship in Dreamlight Valley. After talking to him, go chat with Donald. Since Stitch’s ship isn’t working and he lived in Dreamlight Valley before The Forgetting, it’ll be best to build him a home courtesy of Uncle Scrooge. Once again, set Stitch’s home via the Furniture menu, go to the plot and interact with the construction sign, and pay 10,000 Star Coins. Talk to Stitch after his new home is built, welcoming him back to Dreamlight Valley.

Stitch’s arrival is also tied to Coffee Beans (and the various coffee drinks they’re used for when cooking). Raise Stitch’s Friendship Level to 4 to unlock this new ingredient!

Scar

Located: Sunlit Plateau

Unlock requirements: Scar was added on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 as part of the Scar’s Kingdom Update. He will automatically be unlocked if you have unlocked the Sunlit Plateau area with Dreamlight and have completed “The Curse” quest (which involves restoring the Pillar of Friendship, Pillar of Courage, Pillar of Trust, and Pillar of Power to their former glory). With these two goals met, you’ll be treated to a cutscene of the elephant skull “house” being opened. Head on inside and you’ll meet Scar as well as be given a quest to restore the Sunlit Plateau’s Pillar of Nurturing.

Merlin

Located: Dreamlight Valley

Unlock requirements: No requirements here! Merlin will be the very first Disney character you meet in Dreamlight Valley and he’ll get you up to speed with what’s happening. There’s no Star Coin cost for his home, as it’s already built.

Minnie Mouse

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Plaza and Peaceful Meadow

Unlock requirements: Level up Mickey’s Friendship level to 8 and unlock the Forest of Valor (and possibly Dazzle Beach). Mickey’s quests from previous friendship levels may also require you to increase Goofy’s and Uncle Scrooge’s friendship levels. Complete Mickey’s Friendship level 8 quest, and you’ll be prompted to place Minnie’s house anywhere in Dreamlight Valley (that you’ve unlocked). Complete its construction with 5,000 Star Coins and Minnie has arrived!

Goofy

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Peaceful Meadow

Unlock requirements: Your fourth starting resident, Goofy is available for free too. Just visit his house (the blue one) in the Peaceful Valley and have a chat with him. Plus, if you happened to find a broken fishing rod in the area, he’ll offer to swap it with a working one.

Additional notes: Goofy runs various stalls that sell seeds, fruits, grains, and vegetables in each biome. These cost Star Coins to build and upgrade (up to two times). Of course, the money is going to Uncle Scrooge for those construction fees…

Donald Duck

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Forest of Valor

Unlock requirements: Aid Kristoff in rescuing Donald from the mysterious realm he entered in order to save the Forest of Valor’s orb (Lost in the Dark Grove quest). Once you’ve completed the entire quest chain, Donald will be back and then promptly ask you to repair his houseboat. You might also need Dazzle Beach unlocked, at least to initiate the houseboat quest.

Uncle Scrooge

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Plaza

Unlock requirements: Like Mickey Mouse and Merlin, Uncle Scrooge will be available in Dreamlight Valley at the start of the game. You can find him outside of his shop in the Plaza and he has a quest for you. Also, be prepared to restore his shop with 1,000 Star Coins.

Must complete quests in the Frozen realm and have the Forest of Valor unlock (and possibly the biome’s orb restored). Once done, you can prompt Anna to return to Dreamlight Valley. There’s no Star Coin cost for her home, as it’s already built.

Elsa

Unlock requirements: Clear the Night Thorns blocking the way to the Dream Castle for 2,000 Dreamlight. Once inside, spend 4,000 Dreamlight to unlock the Frozen realm (second floor). Must complete quests in the Frozen realm, have the Forest of Valor unlock (and possibly the biome’s orb restored), and have Anna return to Dreamlight Valley. Raise Anna’s friendship level and she’ll have a quest where she wants you to deliver a letter to Elsa. Complete this quest and Elsa will move into Dreamlight Valley. There’s no Star Coin cost for her home, as it’s already built.

Kristoff

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Forest of Valor (3,000 Dreamlight to unlock this biome)

Unlock requirements: Once you’ve opened up the Forest of Valor, you’ll find Kristoff guarding a mysterious portal. Donald rushed in to get the biome’s orb and hasn’t been seen since. After rescuing Donald in the Lost in the Dark Grove quest, Kristoff will be free to explore the valley. There’s no Star Coin cost for his home, as it’s already built.

Ariel

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Dazzle Beach & Lonely Island

Unlock requirements: Increase Goofy’s friendship level to unlock “The Mysterious Wreck” quest and unlock Dazzle Beach (1,000 Dreamlight). You’ll be focused on repairing a raft to sail out to an area where Goofy hears someone singing. With the materials gathered (fish up seaweed by casting your line into a body of water and not lining up your cast with a rippling, bubbles catch encounter spot), you’ll craft a Raft Repair Kit to fix the raft. Once done, you’ll be able to visit a new area where Ariel is and immediately unlock “The Lonely Island” quest.

For “The Lonely Island” quest, talk to Ariel and then return to Dreamlight Valley. You’ll be able to place her home on the water at Dazzle Beach. Once placed, she’ll automatically appear in Dreamlight Valley. You will need to finish building her house, which costs 5,000 Star Coins.

Prince Eric

Located: Ursula’s Clutches

Unlock requirements: With Ariel and Ursula unlocked, you’ll need to raise their friendship levels. For Ariel, you’ll need to at least complete her quest given out at friendship level 7. You’ll need to get Arield to that friendship level as well as make sure that you have Minnie Mouse, Remy, and WALL-E unlocked, and have the Frosted Heights biome unlocked (10,000 Dreamlight). As for Ursula, you’ll need to reach friendship level 10 with her and complete that friendship quest. Once finished, you’ll get the “Poor Unfortunate Prince” quest and a transformed Prince Eric that isn’t 100% human. To change him back, you’ll need Ariel and Merlin’s help and to build Prince Eric’s home (free to place, but 10,000 Star Coins to build). With his home built, head inside and pick up Eric’s flute on the table in the first room. Head back to Ariel to perform the human transformation spell and Prince Eric will be back and living in Dreamlight Valley.

Ursula

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Dazzle Beach (1,000 Dreamlight and restore Peaceful Meadow’s orb via Merlin’s “Friendship is Everything” quest to unlock this biome)

Unlock requirements: With Dazzle Beach unlocked, a cave’s entrance filled with a mysterious darkness has appeared. Enter it and you’ll find Ursula. Complete her quest to free her and you’ll be prompted to place a house for her on the water in Dazzle Beach. To build it, you’ll need to fork over 10,000 Star Coins to Uncle Scrooge. Make sure its placement will allow you to access Uncle Scrooge’s construction sign! Once the transaction is completed, she’ll be roaming around various bodies of water throughout Dreamlight Valley.

Moana

Located: Moana realm in the Dream Castle (costs 3,000 Dreamlight OR free if it’s your first realm choice to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Inside the Dream Castle, unlock the Moana portal with 3,000 Dreamlight or as your first realm freebie pick from Merlin (once you’ve removed the Night Thorns blocking the way via 2,000 Dreamlight). Complete Moana’s quest to get her ship out into open water and find the perfect fishing spot. Once completed, she’ll want a home near the water (ideally Dazzle Beach – which requires 1,000 Dreamlight and the Peaceful Meadow’s orb to be restored via Merlin’s “Friendship is Everything” quest) and you’ll need to place and pay 2,000 Star Coins to make it happen.

Maui

Located: Moana realm in the Dream Castle (costs 3,000 Dreamlight OR free if it’s your first realm choice to unlock)

You’ll need to complete Moana’s requirements and have her moved into the valley. Return to the Moana realm and talk to Maui. Complete the quests within the realm (cleaning dishes and cooking), and you can entice Remy to open up his own restaurant in Dreamlight Valley. You’ll have to build him a home in the valley and spend 2,000 Star Coins to have it constructed.

WALL-E

Located: WALL-E realm in the Dream Castle (costs 3,000 Dreamlight OR free if it’s your first realm choice to unlock)

Unlock requirements: Inside the Dream Castle, unlock the WALL-E portal with 3,000 Dreamlight or as your first realm freebie pick from Merlin (once you’ve removed the Night Thorns blocking the way via 2,000 Dreamlight). Complete the quests in the realm (this will require you to get key items back in Dreamlight Valley) and you’ll be able to build WALL-E’s “home” (his little transportation truck). You’ll have to pay Uncle Scrooge 2,000 Star Coins to get it ready for WALL-E.

Mother Gothel

Located: Dreamlight Valley’s Glade of Trust (5,000 Dreamlight to unlock this biome)

Additional requirements: You might need to previously unlock Dazzle Beach and/or Forest of Valor. Mother Gothel resides in the Galde of Trust’s willow tree and you’re stuck with her once you’ve freed her from her home. There’s no Star Coin cost for her home, as it’s already built.
