I’ve been having a lot of fun with Sonic Mania Plus since its release, giving me an excuse to run through one of my favorite games from last year all over again. That blue hedgehog’s been on a roll when it comes to the old school throwbacks, and to keep that momentum going Sega’s shared a piece of promo art that gets the whole gang together. If it seems familiar it was previously seen on the Japanese cover for the official soundtrack.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, and Ray all get in frame for this one, showing off the gorgeous outdoor portion of Press Garden Zone. While it’s unmistakably Mania. it’s managing to evoke the original Japanese box art for the series in the best of ways, yet another way that this game is paying tribute to the Classics.
