We’d already learned when Koopa Troopa and Blooper would be hitting the court, and now, thanks to Nintendo of Japan, we’ve also got word on who’s next after them for Mario Tennis Aces. There were rumors, but now we can say for sure that Diddy Kong, Birdo, and Paratroopa will be joining the lineup.
They should be following the same model as the first two tournament reward characters, meaning they’ll become available as prizes if you do well enough and then they’ll be free for everyone the following month. With them in the mix, that’s a character per month all the way ’til this December, making for one fine rally of competition and content.
We’ll have more details for them once Nintendo of America reveals them as well, but in the meantime you can check out trailers for Koopa and Blooper while you wait for Aces to serve up its unique brand of tennis next Friday.
