Out of all the characters to be added to Sonic Mania post-launch few could have seen Mighty and Ray being Sega’s picks, but now we’ve seen them in action they’re a natural fit. It turns out they’re not the only thing crossing over from the obscure arcade game SegaSonic the Hedgehog either, with the official Japanese website revealing a very interesting new stage under its listings for the Japanese version’s included soundtrack CD.

That’s right, a Pinball Stage based on Trap Tower will be in the game! We can only speculate as to what it’ll play like, but the Sonic franchise is no stranger to pinball, with Spinball for the Genesis, Pinball Party for the GBA, Sonic Adventure’s Casinopolis and the Casino Night DLC for Sonic Generations featuring it in their own ways.

We’ll likely see more of Trap Tower, and the intriguing Angel Island Zone mention, as we approach Sonic Mania Plus’ July 17th.
