Everyone here on the Nintendo Wire team has been gearing up for their very own Game of the Year award ceremony these last couple weeks. Instead of awarding just one game the prestigious title, we thought it would be more fun and fitting to name off what we believe to be a number of Nintendo games that deserve praise and some time in the spotlight, especially after such a successful year with the Switch’s arrival and its ever growing library.

Awards will be broken up into several categories and will not be limited to solely games. You can expect celebratory praise to be presented to the following:

Switch Game of the Year
3DS Game of the Year
Indie Game of the Year
Mobile Game of the Year
Amiibo of the year
Developer of the Year

Nintendo’s impact in gaming history throughout 2017 was a big one — chock-full of surprises — and we couldn’t be more proud and excited for our favorite company. We’re looking forward to announcing the winners while sharing our personal thoughts and sentiments about all of the notable titles and people who were involved in achieving such greatness this year by hosting a livestream that will kick off at 9:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, December 30th.

We’d love to see you pop into chat to share your own thoughts about your favorite games, so make sure to check back here to watch tomorrow night:

See you tomorrow!
