Hold on to your ink, squid kids, because we’ve got some news for you! Japanese-American entertainment company VIZ Media has just announced on Twitter that the Splatoon manga series, originally released in Japan, will be making its way overseas in late 2017.

We originally received word of Japan’s release last year when the manga was announced to appear as bi-monthly comic in CoroCoro. At the time, there was no indication about it heading overseas, but we always hoped we’d get word of an American debut.
The manga’s entry in the states couldn’t have come at a better time. With Splatoon 2 hitting the Switch this summer (July 21st), and the positive attention Nintendo’s new system has been receiving, the ink splattered series branching out into literary territory over here is more than welcome.
