The long-awaited spiritual successor to the Hotel Dusk series will be arriving on the North American eShop next month, according to a recent tweet by the localization team at Aksys Games.

Chase: Cold Case Investigations was developed by a team made up of people from the now defunct Cing studio, which was behind classic DS games like Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk and Again. The game’s director is the same as Hotel Dusk’s – Taisuke Kanasaki – which is incredibly apparent just from looking at the art and screenshots.

The game will cost $5.99 when it hits the Nintendo 3DS eShop on October 13th. We’ll be sure to bring you more news as and when it’s made available.
