To people of a certain age, the advertisements that ran in 1998 for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have been seared into their brains. I still remember going to the movies to see A Bug’s Life and watching that legendary “Willst thou suck?” trailer as if my life was going to be changed forever in a few days. Nintendo UK has recreated that trailer for the game’s upcoming remake, though obviously changed the language a bit.

Set to new epic music (not the original Conan the Barbarian track) with some footage we’ve seen in previous trailers, the new 30-second spot asks, “Art thou ready?” While we weren’t ready 28 years ago, time has hardened us, and we’re all ready to relive one of the most influential video games of all-time. I’m not sure anything will live up to our memories, but it’s still cool to see a radically different look for Ocarina of Time.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time release date

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be hitting Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5th, 2026. You can pre-order the game to receive a foil box, though Canadian and French pre-orders offer far better packaging than we’re getting in the US. But if you’d like to order in the US, you can do so over at Amazon.
