Nintendo has revealed a new set of Mario Kart World toys inbound for Japan, and the collectible carts are equipped with a unique feature.
Available at the Nintendo Tokyo store — sold individually or as a full set of six — the lineup includes Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Princess Daisy. They are ¥2,200 (~$14 / £10.50) each (blind box-style) or ¥13,200 (~$84 / £63.40) as a complete set and will be available from October 10th, 2026.
Each toy comes with a circular steel can. When pulled back and placed vertically on the tin’s side, the cart will cling to its surface and drive around in circles.

The toys contain magnets that allow this to happen, though the product page notes that the toys may not run properly on other vertical surfaces aside from the provided can.
There is currently no word on if the set will see a release outside of Japan.
Mario Kart World saw a free update earlier this month, which added new Knockout Tours as well as courses based on tracks from the SNES original Super Mario Kart.
