Physical copies of the upcoming, repolished RPG classic, Tales of Eternia Remastered, will seemingly not be sold in the US, while fans in Europe and Japan will see a Game-Key Card release.
That’s according to detective work from Nintendo Everything, who also discovered that the Nintendo Switch 1 version, unlike its Switch 2 counterpart, will include the entire game on the cartridge.
“We’ve been monitoring the situation in North America, but it’s safe to say at this point that it’ll be digital-only stateside,” the publication said.
Fans in North America can safely import the physical edition from another territory, however, as Switch and Switch 2 cartridges are region free.
Tales of Eternia Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 16th, 2026. The original game launched in Japan in 2000 as a PlayStation exclusive, and was ported to the PlayStation Portable in 2005.
