Tohokushinsha Film Corporation has announced it’s collaborating with Capcom to bring a Resident Evil exhibition to Japan later this year, in order to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
Revealed in a press release (via Siliconera), The World of Biohazard 30th Anniversary Exhibition will feature life-saved statues of series villains Albert Wesker and Alcina Dimitrescu.
Wesker appears to be based on his Resident Evil 5 appearance, sporting his black trench coat and trademark sunglasses. Lady Dimitrescu, built with a lore-accurate height of 290 cm, will be seated in a chair. Illustrative images of both statues were released to give an idea of what they’ll look like.
An official merchandise shop will be selling a selection of commemorative goods. Tohokushinsha released an image teasing some of the items that will be available, though the company also promised that there will be other items, too.
The items pictured above include the following:
- First zombie plush toy
- Moving zombie dog toy
- 30th-anniversary exhibition key visual acrylic block
- Licker slippers
- Mr. Raccoon keychain
- Red Eagle / Dragonfly ammo case tablet
- Tofu bath toy
Attendees can peruse a wealth of materials centred on the deadly viruses, parasites, and fungi featured in the Resident Evil games, and experience a theater screening of the history of the franchise. A preliminary map of the venue was also released, giving an idea of the event’s layout.
Tickets for The World of Biohazard 30th Anniversary Exhibition are available now. It will take place on the fourth floor of the Shibuya BEAM Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, from October 30th to December 24th, 2026.
