As part of its Q1 2027 fiscal report, Square Enix confirmed that The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales and the belated ports for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have “performed solidly.” While not concrete numbers or given, the company claims that both games continued steady growth for the company and have resulted in increases in net sales and operating profit (i.e. corporate nonsense jargon).
Following the chart in the report, Square Enix writes, “New releases such as the multiplatform launches of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows, as well as The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, performed solidly. Combined with steady growth in catalog sales, the sub-segment saw increases in both net sales and operating profit year-over-year.” That’s good news for fans of both games, especially since it means Elliot has a shot at becoming a recurring series.

The rest of the report, which is surprisingly brief, simply has Square Enix holding steady for Q2 2027. Its sales forecast remains unchanged, which isn’t too surprising. There are no other major releases planned for 2026, and Final Fantasy VII Revelation likely won’t release until the next fiscal year. Considering sales have gone up, the company is probably fine as-is.
