Announced during today’s brief Splatoon Raiders Direct, Nintendo revealed that its upcoming single-player spinoff will feature unlockable amiibo costumes that players can wear. Set to the new Shiver, Frye, and Big Man amiibo, the in-game costumes match the updated looks of Deep Cut and let you blend in just a bit better while splatting some salmonids.

It’s not entirely clear if you need the Splatoon Raiders specific amiibo, but I imagine that won’t be the case. Owners of the regular Splatoon 3 versions will probably be able to unlock these costumes, though newcomers will probably find it a little cheaper to grab the new amiibo releases. For whatever reason, the individual figures are now $25, but the triple pack for Deep Cut’s previous release now goes for $80 or more. Amiibo prices, in general, are a bit ridiculous nowadays.

Splatoon Raiders release date

Splatoon Raiders will be hitting Switch 2 on July 23rd, 2026. It will feature four player co-op available locally or online. You can pre-order your copy at Amazon and GameStop today!
