In my review for Vampire Crawlers, I noted that it had a great foundation for expansion, but was a bit light on content. That is set to change soon as publisher Poncle has announced the 2026 content roadmap for the deck-building, roguelike spin-off of Vampire Survivors. While there aren’t any specific dates for when these updates will land, players can look forward to new characters, new cards, and new levels to continue digging deeper and deeper into monster infested dungeons.
As shared by Poncle on social media, Vampire Crawlers will receive new modes, features, and items in three separate content drops. Those are named “Death Parade,” “Bone Deep,” and “Curdled Tunnels.” The first will feature a new stage, Moongolow, that promises to pit players against the Red Death himself. The update will also be introducing new challenge stages where players are limited in some way, the first teased to be a deck-size limiter. Completion of challenge stages will unlock relics for normal play that introduce those same limits into normal decks.

Character-wise, Death Parade will be Sir Ambrojoe and Big Troubler into the mix with some new crawler actions. Big Troubler’s gimmick, for instance, is that he swaps cards for coins, which sounds pretty disastrous all things considered. The posted Roadmap image details the cards, arcanas, and gems that will be included.
The other two updates are too far out for concrete details, but promise new stages, characters, gems, cards, and arcanas. In total, there will be six new characters between them, 11 new cards, eight new arcanas, and a whopping 12 new gems. That’s certainly a lot of new stuff, which will make returning to Vampire Crawlers an easier prospect.
Lastly, Vampire Crawlers will soon be getting a quality-of-life update on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 to help smooth out some issues fans have had. Already available on PC and Xbox, players will soon be able to sort cards in their decks by color, be able to view their entire deck at once, be able to tell which cards will evolve from your deck, and have access to an Endless mode, etc. You can find the full list of QoL improvements below:
- Easier access to Quit Game option
- Sorting cards in your hand (by colour or by mana cost)
- Improvements to Jeweller feature
- A new deck view that allows you to see your entire deck of cards
- Endless mode added as an optional post-game challenge
- Grim Grimoire accessible on level-up screen
- Cards on level-up screen will notify if they will evolve with your existing cards (if that evolution has already been discovered)
- Switch 2 will render at 1080p in handheld and 4K docked
- Switch 2 will get mouse support for dungeon navigation
