The boss behind Capcom’s successful new action-adventure game, Pragmata, has expressed interest in a second installment.

Director Yonghee Cho told GamesRadar+ that, while he was personally interested in a sequel, he could not guarantee one will definitely happen at this time.

“Of course I’d love to see a sequel,” Cho said.

“But I’m not the only one who decides, so unfortunately I can’t really comment beyond that.”

Cho stressed that this was just his “own personal opinion on the matter,” after Capcom’s PR intervened in the interview to make clear that this was not an official announcement Pragmata 2.

Pragmata marked a strong directional debut for Cho, with the game selling over two million copies within just a few weeks – a remarkable achievement for a brand-new IP.

Pragmata is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Nintendo Wire’s glowing review of the game stated: “For anyone looking for an enjoyable, unique, dense single-player experience, Pragmata is a godsend.”
