The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 has a new patch which gives players new frame rate options.

Players can now choose between “Prioritize Visuals” or “Prioritize Performance” in the Display settings. The former caps the game at 30 frames per second for sharper graphics, while the latter implements 60 fps for improved interactivity.

Bethesda released a lengthy log of the full patch notes for 1.2 on X. The update prevents crashes in specific scenarios, fixes frame rate drops in certain locations, and addresses issues regarding the visuals, user interface, controls, audio, and more.

The Switch 2 version received many complaints for its poor performance following its December release. Later that month, a previous update was released which fixed the game’s input lag, but also made it run less smoothly.

The Anniversary Edition introduces the Creations Club, which gives players access to plenty of community-created content. It includes the base game and its three expansions (Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire). The Switch 2 version also features exclusive content based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
