Bandai Namco may have just given RPG fans Tales of Xillia Remastered, but they aren’t stopping there. The series’ 30th Anniversary celebration continues with another entry — 2016’s Tales of Berseria.
This is an interesting choice, as while the game was technically developed for the PlayStation 3, that was a Japan-only release. Its PlayStation 4 version is what overseas fans would be familiar with, though that doesn’t change that it’s still one of the more recent entries. I’m sure it’ll still benefit from some polish, quality of life adjustments, and the inclusion of its DLC — the go-to approach for these Tales of Remasters.
Berseria’s main themes center on vengeance, with main character Velvet Crowe seeking answers for her brother’s murder. It stood out tonally within the series for that while borrowing plenty from its predecessor Tales of Zestiria (which it’s a prequel to) when it comes to combat.
Fans can look forward to Tales of Berseria Remastered releasing February 27th, 2026 for Nintendo Switch (no Switch 2 version has been announced), PS5, Xbox, and PC.
