Following a release date leak earlier this week, a trailer for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has now officially confirmed that physical editions of the game will be available.

Digital Eclipse and Atari also announced that Mortal Kombat Trilogy will be included in the collection. The Trilogy, originally released in 1996, brought every playable character from the 2D Mortal Kombat series into a single game and became an instant fan-favorite.

A new trailer shows footage of the Trilogy, as well as what appears to be snippets from the interactive documentary included in the collection.

The physical versions of the game will be available on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Available to pre-order on the official Atari website are Standard, Deluxe, and Kollector’s Editions.

The Standard Edition for Nintendo Switch ($49.99) and Nintendo Switch 2 ($59.99), according to IGN, will ship with a cartridge containing the full game data. An exclusive slipcover is included as a Day One bonus to those who pre-order.

The Deluxe Edition includes a Steelbook, mini marquees, a magnet, poster, lenticular card, arcade flyers, and arcade cabinet cards. The Nintendo Switch version is $69.99 and the Nintendo Switch 2 version is $79.99.

Finally, the Kollector’s Edition – designed by Limited Run Games – comes in a special, numbered collector’s box including a Goro controller holder statue, commemorative arcade token, hardcover art and lore book, and a pin set. Both Switch versions are $149.99.

The Standard and Deluxe editions will ship on December 12th, while shipment dates for the Kollector’s Edition are to be announced later.

Earlier this week, the Xbox app listed the compilation with a release of September 29th or September 30th, depending on the user’s time zone.
