Few N64 titles, 3D platformers, and gaming duos can stand up to Banjo-Kazooie. The ol’ bear and bird’s first adventure just turned 25 years old and among the many celebrating the occasion was their original creator Steve Mayles.
25 years since we released Banjo Kazooie! Thank you all for the love you still show the game and the characters. pic.twitter.com/odrD3KA8j2

The illustration gorgeously captures several characters from Banjo-Kazooie. Among them are mainstays across the series, like the evil witch Gruntilda and shaman ally Mumbo Jumbo, and some more niche picks. Even a few of B-K’s transformations made it! If that’s not worth a celebratory “Guh-huh!” then I don’t know what is.
There may not be any news on the series as is, Nintendo fans can enjoy its presence in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and revisit the original classic via the Switch Online Expansion Pack – or by blowing into their old cartridges if they got ’em.
