If you’re around my age (give or take a few years), you might have grown up with the Kirby: Right Back At Ya anime on TV. A weekly show where Dedede tried to clobbah that there Kirby with an assortment of monsters, it featured original characters, tie-in to the games at the time (notably Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland and Kirby Air Ride), and some relatively early anime CGI. And now, Japan will be getting a complete HD boxset of the series, where it has the same name as Kirby games (星のカービィ/Hoshi no Kirby, literally “Kirby of the Stars”).

The box contains 10 Blu-ray discs with all 100 episodes of the anime remastered, with additional bonus footage, storyboards, a special booklet, a little acrylic calendar, and more. It even includes the first episode of the English Right Back At Ya! It all goes for a whopping ¥49,500, roughly $362 at current exchange – pre-orders have already sold out, though the site says that if you put it an order they’ll do their best to fulfill it.
The Box Set releases on March 14th, 2023.
