Four years ago, Octopath Traveler was released on Nintendo Switch! To celebrate the occasion, the official Japanese Twitter account for the game has released a brand-new illustration from artist Tatsuaki Urushihara. Urushihara was one of the leading artists who worked on Octopath Traveler along with some of producer Tamoya Asano’s other recent Square Enix productions such as Bravely Default 2 and Triangle Strategy.
Below, fans of Octopath Traveler can take a look at Urushihara’s gorgeous work depicting the eight main cast members huddled around one another.

While Octopath Traveler was initially released as a Nintendo Switch-exclusive, the game did make its way to other platforms including Microsoft Windows and Xbox One long after its initial debut.
This July 22nd, the next game in Square Enix’s 2D-HD series, a remake of the 1994 classic Live a Live, will be released. When more news regarding Square Enix’s 2D-HD productions makes the rounds, we will be sure to let you all know!
