The offline remake of Square Enix’s MMORPG Dragon Quest X has gotten a Japanese release date, with players in the region being able to bop slimes starting September 15th.

The game covers the story content that was part of the original 2012 game – Rise of the Five Tribes. A DLC expansion covering the MMO’s first major update, The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally Offline, has been pushed back from a Fall 2022 release window to Spring 2023.

A western release of Dragon Quest X, either Online or Offline, has yet to be confirmed, but those willing to import will be able to play Dragon Quest X Offline starting September 15th for Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Steam.
