One of the most iconic things to come out of the Nintendo 64 era, and Pokémon Snap particularly, was the partnership with Kodak for a series of printer kiosks for the game, where players could print off their photos in-store.
That spirit is thankfully living on, with a new partnership between Nintendo and Fujifilm. An app will be released that works with the latter company’s Instax Mini Link printer which will add support for Nintendo Switch connectivity.
That New Pokémon Snap connection is very deliberate, too, as the service will launch on the same day, April 30th. For those who don’t own an Instax Mini Link, Fujifilm will release a brand new Instax Mini Link Switch “Ash White (Red&Blue)” printer, inspired by the Neon Red/Blue Joy-Con Nintendo Switch, this month for $99.95. A special bundle for this Instax Mini Link that includes a customized silicone case in the shape of Pikachu will launch sometime in May for $119.95.
You can find out more about the new Instax Mini Link printer support via Nintendo and Fujifilm’s websites.
