With Pokemon Day kicking off the week and the franchise’s 25th anniversary fast approaching this Saturday, February 27th, we’re expecting lots of announcements from Nintendo very soon. Sometimes, though, it’s the fans that really send a Thunderbolt of excitement through our spines when it comes to celebrating our favorite critter-catching series.
Nendo Yoshirin is a skilled clay sculptor who makes beautiful Pokemon figures with practical applications. In their latest project, they have crafted an adorable Pichu with a MagSafe charger hidden in its right cheek. This means that he can wirelessly charge a smartphone by placing it in Pichu’s hands and pressing it against its cheek, as though the little Electric-type tyke is sweetly filling the phone with power through its own natural voltage.
