A special illustration was shared from the company’s Japanese Twitter account, wishing a Happy New Year and hoping fans look forward to 2020 releases. While that’s nice enough, it was a followup response that Nintendo Switch owners should be excited for:

Retweeting from the official Shin Megami Tensei account, the developer called fans specifically to look forward to the long-awaited Shin Megami Tensei V. This is yet another buzzing for the next entry in the long-running RPG series, which Atlus recently assured fans was still “under active development.”
Fair warning, this could just be a routine call out for the game. They did the same with their last New Year’s card, and nothing came of that tease. Only time will tell, but with all the RPG heavy hitters from this year and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore coming in a few weeks, there’s no time like the present.
