Bethesda Game Studios has published a statement regarding its future projects, which include several Fallout games.

The lengthy X post announced that Fallout 5 is in preproduction, remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are in development, and that Bethesda has partnered up again with New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment for another new Fallout title.

“Fallout is one of our biggest priorities today,” the statement reads. “Fallout 5 remains our long-range destination, and we have multiple Fallout projects in active development right now.”

Bethesda also announced a new Fallout 76 expansion, which will serve as a prequel to Fallout 3.

It was confirmed that there won’t be a Fallout Day broadcast this year, but Bethesda is “planning something special for Fallout’s 30th birthday in 2027, when Fallout Day will be celebrated live in Washington, D.C.”

The company also briefly touched on The Elder Scrolls VI, which it considers its “primary development focus today” and has “the majority of our team” working on it. Both The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 are being developed by Creation Engine 3, “a shared technology platform” that Bethesda started building since Starfield launched.

It has not yet been confirmed which, if any, of these games will see a Nintendo Switch 2 release. There are also no release dates, screenshots, or footage of any of these projects at this time.
