Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition will be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 soon. Set for a September 3rd, 2026, release, the game is a bundle of the original 2023 title alongside all of its DLC, which released throughout 2023. This comes just days after the publisher revealed that Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, a brand-new sequel, will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 in early 2027.
The Complete Edition of Wo Long was previously released for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 6th, 2024. Coming roughly one year after the game’s first release, it includes the expansions “Battle of Zhongyuan,” “Conquerer of Jiangdong,” and “Upheaval in Jingxiang,” as well as various weapon and armor sets. The main game isn’t particularly long, clocking in at 25 hours, so expanding it out with DLC should give this quite the shelf life.
What remains to be seen is how well this new port will run. Wo Long is notorious for its bizarrely poor performance on even high-end PCs, and while the Switch 2 isn’t inept, it’s certainly not at the level of a PS5. The recently released Nioh 3 for PC and PS5 also suffers from similar performance woes, so hopefully, developer Team Ninja has figured something out here.
