Keeping things rolling with trailers barely showing any gameplay, Creative Assembly was ready on stage at Summer Games Fest to show off Alien Isolation 2. Revealed a few months back as being officially in development, we now have a small look at what it will play like. It’s certainly retaining the cat and mouse antics of the original, which were the best part of the first game.

What’s more interesting for us is that Isolation 2 will be hitting Nintendo Switch 2 at launch. The first Alien Isolation released in 2014, which was three years before the original Switch, so it clearly couldn’t release on Nintendo’s console. The game did eventually get ported in 2019, though, and even sported better image quality than the PlayStation 4 version thanks to updated antialiasing. In a weird repeat, the Switch 2 version might have the same thanks to DLSS.

When will Alien Isolation 2 release on Switch 2?

For now, Alien Isolation 2 doesn’t have a release date. It’s likely to release in 2027.
