In what is quickly becoming a tradition, Nintendo has announced it will be returning to Gamescom this year for the 2026 show. Set to take place between August 26th-30th, 2026, we don’t have any other details about what will be present from The Big N. Last year, the company had a massive floor presence thanks to the then-upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 release, but by the time August rolls around, Splatoon Raiders will already be out in the wild.

Last year, the company featured a murderer’s row of games including Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Hades 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. I suppose we’ll see the return of Elden Ring, considering it hasn’t been released yet. We’ll possibly also see FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, which was announced last year and is said to be on track for a 2026 release. Nintendo is sure to have some surprise in store, the least of which is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
With the Switch 2 set to celebrate its first year anniversary soon, Nintendo is bound to have something grand in store for Gamescom.
