As part of a recent update, developer FuturLab has added the first free DLC level to PowerWash Simulator 2. Included alongside the version 1.2 patch (which should be live on all platforms today), players will be able to clean the “Miniature Village,” which is exactly as it sounds. A replica of Caldera Village that’s diminutive in scale. The trailer makes a funny reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey, and it’s neat.

This first free level will be part of the “Caldera Chronicles,” which will continue on until FuturLab is finished with PowerWash Simulator 2 for good. A similar DLC scheme was in place for the original game, which saw free updates for two years post launch and expanded the “lore” of PowerWash Simulator for those that were interested. I just care about spraying things until they’re clean, so I’m good either way.

As for what version 1.2 brings, it’s mostly a bunch of quality-of-life tweaks and some updates for various platforms. On Nintendo Switch 2, the game will autosave more often so that progress won’t be randomly lost when changing games. There are also unspecified tweaks to the “Mount Rushless” job that should improve performance. You can read the full patch notes on the official PowerWash Simulator website.
