A new report from Variety has confirmed that the upcoming Life is Strange TV series, set to debut on Amazon Prime Video, has found its leading ladies. According to sources close to the outlet, Maisy Stella and Tatum Grace Hopkins will be playing Chloe and Max, respectively, when the series makes its debut. I actually could see Stella as Max, but that’s neither here nor there.

The show was originally reported to be in the pre-stages of development back in September 2025. In the time since, we haven’t learned much else about its production. We know that Charlie Covell will be handling writing duties as well as serving as the showrunner and executive producer. The series is also a collaboration between Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap, with Amazon MGM Studios producing. There are a lot of cooks in the kitchen, as it typical with modern productions.

If you’re unfamiliar with either actor, Maisy Stella has recently started to make a name for herself. Having debuted on the show Nashville back in 2012, she made her film debut with the 2024 coming of age drama My Old Ass, which co-starred Aubrey Plaza. She is also in the country music duo “The Stellas” with her older sister, Lennon.

Tatum Grace Hopkins, on the other hand, is completely new to the industry. She isn’t starting from zero, though, as she has starred in several Broadway works over the last few years. Life is Strange will be her TV debut, as well as likely a bridge towards Hollywood for future movies. In terms of experience, both ladies seem to match their characters to a tee.

When will the Life is Strange TV show release?

We don’t know when Life is Strange will debut, but the next game in the series, Life is Strange: Reunion, will be releasing on March 26th, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. I’m surprised a Nintendo Switch 2 port wasn’t announced, but I wouldn’t doubt one will happen before the end of the year.
