In an effort to entice people to pre-order from its website, the Pokémon Center has announced that all pre-orders of Pokémon Pokopia for Nintendo Switch 2 will come with a free Ditto plush when ordered online. The life/farm simulator game, which releases on March 5th, 2026, allows players to assume the role of a Ditto who takes a human form and raises their own little island of Pokémon goodness. It looks like an interesting diversion from what Animal Crossing achieves, not to mention it seemingly leans more into Stardew Valley’s expansive gameplay.

As the official website reads, “Fans who preorder the game from Pokémon Center will receive a Ditto Sitting Cuties Plush with their purchase. This cuddly friend is the ideal companion to join you as you enjoy this cozy life simulation adventure.” I love plushes, so I’m compelled to pre-order the game now.

I’m intrigued by what Pokopia might bring to the table for these fantasy life titles. The very successful Disney Dreamlight Valley has seemingly inspired some of the new quality-of-life improvements coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons soon, so I have to wonder if Nintendo has implemented even more tweaks to Pokopia that could find their way to AC.
