Metroid Prime 4: Beyond isn’t even in most people’s hands yet, but with reviews finally hitting the internet, a ton of critics and influencers have rolled credits and discovered some extra tidbits about the game. Nothing in this article is a spoiler, but if you were hoping that longtime Samus Aran actor Jennifer Hale would continue to voice Nintendo’s iconic bounty hunter, than you’ll be disappointed to learn she did not return.

As seen in the credits, Samus’ voice is now portrayed by Erin Yvette while her motion capture is handled by Krystle Martin.

The change could have happened for a number of reasons, but maybe the biggest one is that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond potentially signals a new era for the series. Considering the sheer number of developers that worked on the game, I think that might be possible. Nintendo stalwart Next Level Games (of Luigi’s Mansion 3 fame) and even the porting studio Virtuous (Metal Gear Solid: Delta) are among the list of studios involved with the game. A lot of that was likely down to the advanced tech on display, which includes support for 4K 60 FPS HDR playback and even 1080p 120 FPS playback in handheld.

Thanks to Nintendo Life for this list, which includes all of the studios noted in Prime 4’s credits:
