It feels like eons since Limited Run Games announced its intention for a Tomba! 2 re-release, but the wait is soon to be over. As spotted on the Nintendo eShop, the aptly titled Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return Special Edition will be hitting PC and consoles on December 15th, 2025. Priced at $19.99, it will include all the same features that the previous re-release had. That means CRT filters, rewind options, quick saves, and a gallery full of concept art, videos, and more.

Tomba! 2 marked a stark change from the first game by adopting a fully 3D visual style. The original was, essentially, an evolution of 2D platformers utilizing a 2.5D aesthetic, but Tomba! 2 went with the times and made everything 3D. It’s still mostly the same game, but it has a refreshed look and exudes a lot of charm. Don’t go in expecting Super Mario 64, but it definitely looks more of its era than the original.
