As revealed earlier this morning, Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s DLC, Mega Dimension, will be hitting the eShop on December 10th, 2025, for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Costing $30 USD, the DLC will take players to a hyperspace variant of Lumiose City where they will be able to capture critters that aren’t available in the main game. The main attraction, of course, is two new Mega Evolutions for Raichu, but the latest trailer reveals Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcaliber. There will be additional Mega Evolutions available, as well.
A rather cool new feature of this hyperspace dimension is that Pokémon can be temporarily leveled past 100 when traversing it. With the help of a character named Ansha, players will be able to feed their monsters special donuts and mystical treats that will over-level them in the hyperspace dimension. It’s unclear if that over-leveling needs to be activated each time you enter the dimension, but it’s still an interesting feature that should make for tougher battles. It’s also a series first as every previous Pokémon game was capped at 100.

Lastly, the trailer announced that a new Mystery Gift is available alongside an extra side-mission. Starting November 6th, 2025, players can receive a Diancite stone, and will be able to embark on the “Shine Bright like a Gemstone” mission. The Diancite stone is able to evolve Diancie into Mega Diancie, though it doesn’t require the DLC to activate. Pre-ordering the DLC will unlock some bonus in-game outfits, though, which are called Holo-X and Holo-Y. Season Four of the game’s online ranked battles will also distribute a mega stone to unlock Mega Baxcaliber.
Starting Thursday, November 6, 2025, you can receive a Diancite stone through the Mystery Gift feature in #PokemonLegendsZA, and the extra side mission “Shine Bright like a Gemstone” will become available.

All in all, it sounds like a rather substantial piece of content for Legends: Z-A. I’m not sure if I like the idea of paying $100 for a Pokémon game (or any game), but fans will likely want to pick this up when it launches next month.
