Nintendo is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario series in a big way, and just like we saw with the 30th, amiibo aren’t being left out! Nintendo has announced a pair of Super Mario Galaxy amiibo featuring Mario, Rosalina, and Lumas, set to launch on April 2nd.
While it wasn’t totally clear in the Direct, I can confirm these new figures are much larger than traditional amiibo. Nintendo of Japan released a pair of new images on their website with a size comparison to give fans a better idea of what to expect. No word yet on pricing or functionality, but with their jumbo sizing, get ready to open those wallets!
