Sega has revealed some striking statistics for the recent Open Network Test of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

The test – which was held last weekend from August 29th to September 1st – accumulated over a million downloads, and 10 million races were held. The numbers were confirmed on the official Japanese Sonic account on Twitter.

For those who missed the test or are eager for more, a single-player demo will be available next week on September 17th.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will launch on Nintendo Switch 1 on September 25th. It will release digitally on Switch 2 in the “Holiday 2025” period, while a physical edition is coming in early 2026. The physical version will include the full game on the cartridge.
