Nintendo of Japan has just revealed one of what will surely be multiple announcements leading up to Mario’s 40th anniversary in September. My Mario, a new child-focused product line of merchandise and engagement experiences, is launching on Tuesday, August 26th in Japan.
You can view the My Mario branding’s official description below:
“MY MARIO” is a Mario-themed product series for young children. Items that parents and children can enjoy together, such as picture books, building blocks, clothing, miscellaneous goods and apps for tablets and smartphones, will be available from Tuesday, August 26th.”
Pictured on the website are a My Mario-themed hoodie, an interactive picture book, a toy block set, featuring characters that function as amiibo, a plushie, a claymation My Mario show premiering on YouTube, a new My Mario app, as well as Instagram and an app game that can be played on both mobile phones and the Nintendo Switch line of systems.
The blocks are definitely one of the standout products here, as they consist of wooden amiibo of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi! However, you’ll need to shell out around $135 USD to get the whole set; and for the time being at least, only appear to be available in Japan via the My Nintendo Store and various Nintendo stores in the country.
More information about My Mario is sure to come from Nintendo worldwide in the coming days.
