As many people had stated over the last few weeks, Nintendo will be holding a Direct stream to cap off July 2025. Instead of a full-blown first-party presentation, however, it will be a Partner Direct with roughly 25 minutes of information on new third-party games coming to the system. For those keeping track, that does mean that something like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment could still show up.

Across its social media platforms, Nintendo announced that the Direct will take place at 6 a.m. PT | 8 a.m. CT | 9 a.m. ET on July 31st, 2025. What games will show up is anyone’s guess at this point, but I do have a good feeling that Hollow Knight: Silksong might make an appearance. We do know that the game will finally be playable at Gamescom 2025, and it would be in Team Cherry’s favor to showcase something ahead of time. It’s also probably likely that Borderlands 4 will have some sort of presence as the game is scheduled for an October release on Switch 2.

Everything else? I have no clue, but I would like to see another surprise indie game such as Cadence of Hyrule. Nintendo hasn’t really given the keys to indie devs for a bit, but a new spinoff for Zelda, Mario, Kirby, or even Metroid would be nice. I don’t anticipate anything first-party related at all, so do not get your hopes up for Nintendo shoving in a Metroid Prime 4: Beyond trailer.
