Much like how Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment received an age rating in Brazil yesterday, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has also received an age classification in South Korea which can only mean one thing: Nintendo will be talking about it soon.
According to South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC), Nintendo’s upcoming FPS adventure game is rated ages 12 and up for “mild violence.” A brief description states that Samus uses weapons attached to her suit to attack alien life forms, which… yeah. That’s Metroid. We also have a short summary of the game that is basically the same thing Nintendo has included in all of its trailers thus far.
“A first-person adventure game set on the planet Viewros, where Samus Aran is transported to after an unexpected encounter with Sylux at a Galactic Federation research facility,” read the site. That falls in line with everything Nintendo has mentioned so far, meaning there have been no late stage changes to this plot or its setting.
I would imagine that Metroid Prime 4 will be the big summer game for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, so I think there is a pretty good chance we’ll be getting a release date in the coming weeks (or the game was available “now” if you happen to live in the UK). I’m not sure if it will be in a surprise Direct or not, but the timing of this rating is giving further credence to those rumors.
