When there is a will, there is a way. That’s how the old saying goes and despite being over 400 years old, it rings true to this day. It’s especially evident in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s latest Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which alongside performance and quality improvements has introduced a new “Zelda Notes” feature for Switch Online subscribers. Through Zelda Notes, players are able to upload their creations as QR codes to “Autobuild,” a feature that will automatically build said contraption in another player’s game. If you happened to have modded your original Switch save before transferring to Switch 2, though, you can suddenly share some of the most outrageous things possible.

Have you ever wanted to summon a legion of Eponas in the middle of Hyrule? Well, you can now thanks to some quirky Autobuild codes. How about squaring off with three Ganondorfs simultaneously? An entire army of dogs? It seems the possibilities are endless now… until Nintendo decides to patch this exploit out.

An exploit for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Switch 2 allows players to summon almost anything via Autobuild Sharing. No modding is involved; all it takes is the right QR code to bring forth a legion of new friends.

As Nintendo Life breaks down, the reason this is possible is because people with modified Switch 1’s are able to directly access their Tears of the Kingdom save data and change specific flags for characters. This allows them to take a harmless hovercraft build and swap the items with a bunch of Ganondorf’s. It’s not limited to NPCs, either, with other codes containing food and even shrine locked items. I guess you can just summon a bunch of heart containers, stamina wheels, Master Swords, Hylians Shields, etc, and then go straight for Ganondorf from the start. How long until we see a speedrun utilizing this?
