Splatoon Raiders was not the only thing Nintendo had up its sleeve this morning. Alongside the new spinoff game, Splatoon 3 will soon be getting a rather major update in the form of patch Version 10.0.0. While there is a metric ton of new stuff coming to the game, the most exciting bit of news is that this update will include Switch 2 enhancements for Splatoon 3, making it look and play even better on Nintendo’s newest console. Talk about a true surprise.

Splatoon 3 version 10.0.0 will hit the eShop on June 12th, 2025, and bring with it over 30 new weapon kits, an increase to all Freshness caps, a ton of new in-game badges, a new statistic tracking “Series Weapon Power,” and the return of the Urchin Underpass stage from Splatoon 1. The weapon power tracker seems intended to maintain balance in online matches; it lets players switch weapon kits without affecting their overall rating. It will even match you with players of a similar rating, ensuring that you aren’t stomping newcomers or getting roasted by pros.

Nintendo details most of the changes in the trailer for Splatoon Raiders, so if you’d like to catch a glimpse of the new weapons, that should be your first stop. It’s definitely a lot of stuff to mull over, even if I never change up the weapons I use online.
