With the Nintendo Switch 2 now less than a month away, there’s a lot to look forward to. Amidst the news of new games and Switch 2 editions, there are lots of more subtle improvements that many didn’t consider. One of those being the list of default profile icons, a feature often overlooked on the original Switch thanks to Nintendo Switch Online’s icon library. Thanks to Nintendo Today, we now have a list of all of the new icons that will be coming along with the system!

There are a total of 112 new icons available by default, totaling 258 all in all, with nearly every original icon available on the Switch returning as well. A wide array of new games are seeing representation, such as Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, and more! There are also a handful of new icons for games that were already represented, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

These new additions make for quite a robust selection right out of the gate, especially for those without access to the Nintendo Switch Online icons. Little details like these are very exciting, and make the wait for the Switch 2’s release all the more exciting. Check out the full list of all of the icons, and keep an eye out for more fun tidbits as the Switch 2’s release draws nearer!
