After a long wait, the Lunar Remastered Collection is finally available on all major platforms. While you can easily grab it digitally from your digital store of choice, the physical edition of the game is exclusive to Amazon for the time being. Going for $55, you can nab the compilation for PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch and get to reliving some of the most under-appreciated RPGs around.
To commemorate the launch, publisher GungHo has uploaded a launch trailer that quickly goes over some of the features this remaster has. The most obvious is an upgrade to 1080p HD output, but you also have the ability to swap between the new “Remastered” visuals and the original “Classic” ones, a plethora of new filters to customize your experience (such as a nifty CRT filter), different borders to place around the 4:3 cutscenes, and an option to speed up battles. That last one would be perfect for me, as I often get fed up with how long RPGs can take.
While the digital version is unlikely to sell out, you’ll need to act fast if you want to grab the physical edition. The PS4 version seems to have sold out already, but Switch fans still have some time left.
